About the Role
As a Senior Concept Artist, you are a visionary and a polymath. You are responsible for defining the visual language of the entire gameโfrom the anatomy of its heroes to the grand architecture of its world. You will work at the intersection of Art, Narrative, and Design, translating abstract ideas into high-fidelity visual benchmarks. You are not just an illustrator; you are a world-builder who understands the technical requirements of a AAA pipeline and can mentor others to achieve artistic excellence.

Responsibilities
- Holistic Visual Development: Lead the creation of diverse concepts including characters, creatures, environments, vehicles, props, and key-art "mood paintings."
- Style Definition: Establish and maintain the projectโs visual DNA through style guides, color palettes, and material libraries that ensure consistency across all assets.
- Production-Ready Blueprints: Deliver detailed orthographic views, callouts, and material breakdowns that provide 3D Modelers and Environment Artists with an unambiguous roadmap.
- Narrative & Gameplay Synergy: Partner with Story Writers to visualize lore and collaborate with Level Designers to ensure environments support gameplay flow and navigation.
- Mood & Lighting: Create high-level key art that establishes the emotional tone, lighting, and atmospheric direction for the technical art team to replicate in-engine.
- 3D Integration: Utilize 3D block-outs (Blender/ZBrush/Maya) to ensure perfect perspective, scale, and anatomical accuracy before final painting.
- Artistic Leadership: Drive high standards through rigorous reviews and paintovers. Mentor Junior and Mid-level artists to help them grow and align with the studioโs vision.
- R&D & Iteration: Proactively research cultural, historical, and industrial references to ensure the world feels authentic and "lived-in."

Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of professional game development experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior capacity.
- Shipped Titles: At least one shipped AAA or high-fidelity AA title on Console (PS5/Xbox) or PC.
- Artistic Depth: Expert-level mastery of anatomy, perspective, color theory, lighting, and composition.
- Versatility: A world-class portfolio showcasing proficiency in both Character/Creature design and Environment/Architecture design.
- Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and a 3D workflow (e.g., Blender, ZBrush, or 3DCoat).
- Leadership: Proven ability to provide constructive feedback and accurately estimate art production timelines.
- Language: Professional fluency in English; ability to communicate artistic vision to both creative and technical stakeholders.
