Senior System Engineer (Polaris) | 100% Remote – Spain

We’re looking for a Senior System Engineer to join the Polaris program, supporting the CIT‑MIM team on a long‑term (18‑month) assignment. This role is fully remote within Spain and ideal for senior engineers with deep Linux expertise, automation skills, and strong knowledge of networking and monitoring tools.

What you’ll do

• Automate deployment, installation, and configuration of applications.
• Operate and configure monitoring, orchestration, and scheduling tools (Grafana, Elastic, Airflow).
• Develop scripts & automation (Python, Bash).
• Troubleshoot system‑level issues across Linux, networking, and orchestration layers.
• Work with DevOps pipelines (GitLab), Docker, Ansible, OpenShift.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams in a senior capacity.

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years with Python, Bash, Linux.
• Experience automating large‑scale application deployments.
• Strong networking fundamentals: subnetting, firewalls, multicast, TLS.
• Experience (1–3 years) with:
• Ansible
• Docker
• GitLab CI/CD
• OpenShift
• Airflow
