About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) to join our client's dynamic team on a freelance basis. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cloud infrastructure projects within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud operations, particularly within Microsoft Azure, and have hands-on experience supporting and managing cloud-based environments. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud services, ensuring high performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in cloud operations, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Deep expertise in Azure resource management, networking, identity management, monitoring, and automation tools.
• Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with supporting or deploying .NET desktop applications within cloud environments.

• Experience working within SDLC, SCRUM, or Agile development methodologies.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, ARM templates, Azure CLI, or Bicep.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services primarily within Microsoft Azure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud environments to facilitate the development, testing, and deployment of .NET desktop applications.
• Monitor cloud operations continuously, troubleshoot issues promptly, and optimize resources for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Support and enhance Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, ensuring seamless user access and operational stability.
