About The Role

At Definity, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Sales Management Platform team. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining a mission-critical CRM platform designed to support the global sales operations of a leading automotive client based in Fremont, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performance backend systems that handle real-time data processing and large-scale data environments, directly contributing to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that incorporate AI-assisted workflows, microservices architecture, and distributed systems, all within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role requires a proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building reliable and scalable backend solutions that impact millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in backend development within production environments. A strong foundation in microservices architecture and distributed systems is essential, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Golang and Python. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, and large-scale data systems such as ClickHouse. Familiarity with search technologies like OpenSearch or similar, message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, and real-time data pipelines is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of scalable system design, high throughput architectures, and cloud-native principles. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Candidates must also meet the following criteria:

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services for a global CRM platform supporting sales operations. Key responsibilities include building high-performance microservices capable of handling real-time data streams, architecting systems that support high throughput and large data volumes, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed environments.
