Cloud Engineer (Lead / Potential Lead) – Full Remote

Location: Tokyo (Full Remote Available)

Salary: ¥8,000,000 – ¥12,000,000

Work Style: Fully Remote

What You’ll Do

Cloud Architecture & Leadership

• Define and lead the cloud strategy and roadmap within the Technology Center of Excellence

• Act as the technical lead for cloud initiatives across products

• Establish cloud standards, service menus, and operational guidelines


Infrastructure & Operations

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Implement monitoring systems for performance and failure detection

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and availability


DevOps & Optimization

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer experience

• Automate infrastructure and operational processes

• Collaborate with security and platform teams to enhance system robustness


R&D and Innovation

• Research and apply new cloud technologies

• Drive continuous improvement across cloud architecture and operations

Requirements

Must Have

• 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)

• Experience in system development projects with some project management exposure

• Advanced Japanese for team communication


Nice to Have

• Experience as a technical or IT consultant

• Experience defining cloud architecture standards

• Experience with Kubernetes or container-based environments

• Experience in cloud-based R&D or innovation projects

• Security-related experience
