AWS Data Architect (Contract-to-Hire)

FULLY REMOTE - Data Architect - 6Months Contract-to-hire!

We are working with a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to design and lead the next generation of their enterprise data platform. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path into a permanent leadership role.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of a large-scale AWS data environment, influence enterprise-wide data strategy, and build long-term architectural stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design a scalable AWS Data Lake environment (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation)
• Define and enforce enterprise data architecture standards
• Lead canonical data modelling initiatives to ensure consistency across systems
• Partner with governance teams to align on data governance and compliance frameworks
• Provide architectural leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Drive long-term platform strategy and modernization efforts

Required Experience

• Strong experience designing AWS-based data architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS Data Lake technologies (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation)
• Expertise in canonical data modelling and enterprise data design
• Experience working with data governance frameworks
• Proven ability to operate at an architectural and strategic level
