About Shil Studio:

Shil Studio is a growing web design and development studio working with clients around the world. We focus on creating high-quality, modern websites that combine strong visual design with thoughtful structure and usability.

We are looking for a talented Website Designer to join the team and take ownership of the design side of our projects. This role is focused on creating professional, well-structured website designs in Figma that are ready for development.

You’ll play an important role in shaping how our client websites look, feel, and function.

The Role

You will be responsible for taking a project from initial brief and discovery through to a fully designed, development-ready Figma file.

This includes understanding the client's goals, structuring the website through wireframes, and producing polished designs that can be handed directly to the development team for build.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands both design and how websites are actually built, ensuring their designs are practical, scalable, and easy for developers to implement.

This is a remote role, and we are looking for someone confident working independently, managing multiple projects, and delivering high-quality work consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate client briefs into clear website concepts and structures
• Conduct discovery and research to understand client goals and user needs
• Create site structures and wireframes to define layout and content hierarchy
• Design high-quality, modern website interfaces in Figma
• Build clean, organised Figma files ready for development handoff
• Create and maintain design systems, components, and auto layout structures
• Ensure designs are responsive and adaptable across devices
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs translate smoothly into production
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

Core Skills (Required)

• Figma — components, auto layout, design systems, clean file structure
• Website design — strong understanding of layout, hierarchy, typography, and usability
• Wireframing — ability to structure websites before visual design
• Discovery process — translating briefs and requirements into structured designs
• Responsive design principles — desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts
• Developer handoff — creating dev-ready design files

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience designing websites that will be built in Webflow
• Understanding of CMS-driven website structures
• Experience designing for conversion-focused websites
• Workflow & Production Skills
• Clear file organisation in Figma
• Component-driven design systems
• Consistent spacing and layout frameworks
• Ability to design scalable page templates
• Understanding of SEO and accessibility considerations in design

Tools We Use

• Figma
• Loom (for walkthroughs and handovers)
• Notion / ClickUp for project management

Ideal Experience Level

3+ years experience designing professional websites

Strong portfolio demonstrating modern website design work

Experience delivering dev-ready Figma designs for development teams

Requirements

Fluent English communication

Comfortable working remotely and independently

Able to work within Jakarta / Perth timezones
