Data Analyst at Handoff
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help turn data into clear, actionable insights that drive product and business decisions. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and GTM, partnering closely with teams to define metrics, analyze user behavior, and support experiments with real impact.
This is not a “just build dashboards” role. We’re looking for someone who’s curious, analytical, and comfortable owning questions from problem definition through insight and recommendation.
What you'll do
- Write and maintain high-quality SQL queries to analyze product usage, funnels, retention, and business performance
- Build, own, and iterate on dashboards that track core product, growth, and operational metrics
- Support product and growth experiments by defining hypotheses, success metrics, and post-experiment analysis
- Translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses and clear, actionable recommendations
- Work closely with Data Engineering to validate data sources, improve data quality, and ensure metric consistency
- Document metrics, dashboards, and analytical assumptions to build long-term trust and shared understanding
- Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, focusing on impact and decision-making

- 4+ years of experience in data analytics or related roles
- Strong SQL expertise with experience tuning queries and designing efficient schemas
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools like Looker, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear questions, metrics, and analyses
- Solid product and business intuition, understands how user behavior connects to outcomes
- Strong communication skills, able to explain insights clearly and concisely
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving data models
