Job Description
LeverageTek is actively seeking a Data Analyst for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
The successful candidate will work fully remote. The client is based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key Tasks
- Lead development and maintenance of data modelling activities throughout the data delivery and software development life cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of data products and data solutions from a technological and organizational perspective
- Review and recommend conceptual, logical, and physical data models to determine compatibility and fit with architectural principles and optimal solution design
- Understand system data elements and existing data structures, as well as data lineage connecting source to target
- Understand client requirements and convert business needs into technical user stories
- Research and document data platform outputs: source to target mapping, business rules applied to data transformation, data cataloging, and data lineage
- Carry out gap analysis and document data gaps for reporting needs
- Deconstruct complex technical solutions and explain them clearly to non-technical audiences
- Lead well-organized presentations and facilitate sessions to review data requirements and identify gaps
- Deliver clear, complete, and usable documentation that the client and/or product owner can validate to support the sign-off process

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a dedicated Data Analyst
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Analyst in one or more of the following domains: Risk, Finance, or Customer Relationship Management
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience with Moody's CreditLens, ERP, or Salesforce platform
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience with Databricks
- Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with end-to-end data solution delivery, including demonstrated project examples
- Proven ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity and alignment across technical and business audiences
- Experience planning and supporting integration testing for solutions involving multiple upstream and downstream systems, including business scenario coverage and defect triage
- Experience as a senior Data Analyst on complex data or platform modernization initiatives, with the ability to translate business outcomes into traceable requirements through build, testing, and deployment
- Demonstrated experience supporting project or portfolio management activities in large transformation programs with multiple workstreams and vendors, including managing scope, dependencies, and delivery risk
