Job Description

We are partnering with our travel services client to recruit a Digital Marketing Manager to join their team on a fully remote, ongoing contract basis, primarily working on Pacific Standard Time. In this role, you will serve as the founding, full-time Digital Marketing Manager, working with the CEO to implement first-ever, in-house marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive brand awareness, digital traffic and vacation sales on their DTC website. The bulk of your work will focus on building paid media campaigns and strategy, with a focus on consumer social media, Google and Bing/Microsoft ads. You will manage spend, deploy and track campaigns, and report on ROI/ROAS and other metrics, but you will also be a critical part of developing campaign assets and content for these channels. You will own social media outside of ads, working on developing and engaging with the brand’s audience, primarily on Facebook. Aside from paid media and social engagement, you will be responsible for implementing first-ever consumer email marketing strategy from ground zero, vetting tools, implementing the system, creating and deploying campaigns to their user base. You will also work closely with company leadership to monitor lead generation and channel partners, reviewing analytics and performance to identify opportunities. This role is a great fit for a digital marketing generalist with 5+ years of experience across paid search, content creation, social media management and email marketing. Experience in the B2C and DTC spaces is required, with a strong preference for experience in the travel industry or similar spaces. You will be a strategic partner to leadership in this role, but will be the sole tactical marketer on the team, so comfort in the weeds of this work is paramount.

This is a stellar opportunity to truly build and scale a digital marketing function! This is an ongoing, 100% remote contract role with the goal of this becoming a permanent fit as the company continues to grow. While this team is fully remote in the US, there is a strong preference for candidates based in PST or flexible to work across different time zones. Hourly pay ranges from $40 to $50 based on level of experience and relevant skills. As an LHH contractor, you will be a W2 employee and eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(K) benefits, and accruing sick time based on your state of residence.

You will:

  • Join the organization as the founding marketing hire, working directly with the CEO to implement and own in-house marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and visibility, digital sales, leads and conversion
  • Own, build and scale paid media campaigns and strategy, focused on Meta Ads, Google and Bing/Microsoft ads
  • Manage the brand’s social media pages with a primary focus on Facebook, building and engaging with the brand audience through community engagement efforts
  • Build the brand’s first-ever email marketing program, vetting vendors and technology, implementing the tool, and scaling the email marketing program to drive sales, brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Track channel partner promotions and manage a campaign and content calendar, aligning digital campaigns with partner promotions, sales and deals
  • Support other integrated marketing, communications and creative initiatives, as needed

Your experience should include:

  • 5+ years of consumer-facing, integrated digital marketing experience with in-depth skills in paid search, paid social, social media management and email marketing
  • Experience in the travel, tourism or similar industry, highly preferred
  • Experience reviewing campaign and site performance metrics and optimizing campaigns and strategy based on findings
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred but flexible for the right fit
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, email marketing tools and similar; Proficiency in CMS tools and Adobe Creative Suite, highly preferred
  • Comfort in a start-up environment as the sole marketing generalist and subject-matter expert

Sound like you? This role is a great fit for those comfortable building and scaling a digital marketing function. This role is highly tactical but will also empower you to contribute to marketing strategy and decision-making. US-based candidates aligned with the above are encouraged to apply here for consideration!
