About the Role

Imagine being part of the team behind one of the most beloved children’s brands in the country. A brand that makes kids dance in their living rooms, teaches them their ABCs through soca beats, and has parents singing along just as loudly as their little ones. That’s Gracie’s Corner.

We’re looking for an Associate Director of Marketing who gets it: someone who understands what it means to build something special for families, who can see the magic in a brand that started at a kitchen table and grew into a movement with over 5 million YouTube subscribers, multiple NAACP Image Awards, and a community of families who trust us to show up for their kids every single day.

This role is about vision. You’ll own the marketing strategy for Gracie’s Corner, shaping how we show up across every platform, every campaign, and every touchpoint. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our PR partners at Ascend to amplify the brand’s story, and you’ll be the person who makes sure that when opportunities come knocking (and they do), we’re ready to welcome them in and turn them into something wonderful.

This role includes a commission structure tied to the revenue you help generate through social media monetization and inbound brand partnerships. When the brand grows, you grow with it.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing strategy and brand storytelling

•       Develop and own the comprehensive marketing strategy for Gracie’s Corner, ensuring every initiative reflects the joy, creativity, and heart of the brand

•       Define brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and campaign themes that resonate with families, partners, and the broader children’s entertainment landscape

•       Build and manage the marketing calendar, weaving together content releases, product launches, licensing milestones, live events, and seasonal moments into a cohesive narrative

•       Present marketing strategies, creative concepts, and growth recommendations to the founders with clarity and enthusiasm


Social media strategy and monetization

•       Set the strategic direction for the brand’s social media presence across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms

•       Define content pillars, audience growth strategies, and engagement frameworks that keep the community active, growing, and excited

•       Activate and optimize on-platform monetization features including YouTube ad revenue, TikTok Creator Fund, Instagram bonuses, and platform-native shopping integrations

•       Oversee content execution and provide creative direction, working with the social media coordinator and any supporting team members to bring the strategy to life

•       Monitor platform trends, algorithm shifts, and the competitive landscape to keep the brand’s content strategy fresh and discoverable


Inbound brand partnerships

•       Manage and respond to inbound brand partnership inquiries that come through social media DMs, email, and other channels

•       Evaluate partnership opportunities for brand alignment, audience fit, and revenue potential

•       Develop pitch materials, media kits, and partnership proposals to support deal conversations

•       Coordinate with legal counsel on deal terms and contract execution for all brand partnerships

•       Manage the full lifecycle of partnerships from initial inquiry through deliverable execution and post-campaign reporting

•       Build and maintain organized records of all partnership inquiries, active deals, and pipeline opportunities


PR liaison

•       Serve as the primary internal point of contact for the brand’s external PR agency, Ascend PR

•       Coordinate with Ascend on media opportunities, press outreach, interview requests, and earned media strategy

•       Ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and PR initiatives so the brand’s story is told consistently across all channels

•       Support award submission strategies and manage internal coordination for nomination and application processes


Campaign concepting and creative direction

•       Conceive and lead integrated marketing campaigns that bring the Gracie’s Corner brand to life in new and exciting ways

•       Develop creative briefs and campaign concepts for brand activations, product launches, live events, and cultural moments

•       Collaborate with internal team members, the creative director, and external partners to execute campaigns that feel authentic, joyful, and unmistakably Gracie’s Corner


Analytics, reporting, and growth

•       Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks for all marketing and monetization activities

•       Deliver monthly marketing performance reports to the founders, covering channel analytics, campaign results, partnership pipeline, and revenue tracking

•       Use data and audience insights to continuously refine strategy and identify new opportunities for growth


Compensation and Commission

Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Commission: In addition to base salary, this role earns a commission of 8% on revenue generated through social media platform monetization (YouTube ad revenue, TikTok Creator Fund, Instagram bonuses, and similar platform payouts) and inbound brand partnerships (deals that originate through DMs, inbound email inquiries, or other unsolicited brand interest that is managed and closed by the Associate Director of Marketing in coordination with legal counsel).

Commission is calculated on net revenue received by the company and is paid quarterly in arrears following receipt of payment. Deals originated by the founders or by legal counsel, or partnerships that are handed to the Associate Director for execution only, are not commission-eligible unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The commission structure will be documented in a separate commission agreement or addendum to the offer letter, outlining definitions, calculation methodology, payment timing, and any applicable terms.


Qualifications

Required

•       5+ years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor capacity

•       A genuine love for children’s content, family media, or brands that exist to make kids’ lives brighter

•       Strong strategic thinking with the ability to conceive, build, and present marketing plans that balance creativity with business results

•       Deep understanding of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), content strategy, and platform monetization models

•       Experience managing inbound brand partnerships, including evaluating inquiries, coordinating deal terms, and managing deliverables

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation and storytelling capabilities

•       Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and bring infectious energy to everything you touch

•       Proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, or equivalent)


Preferred

•       Experience in children’s media, family entertainment, or creator economy brands

•       Experience working alongside external PR agencies and coordinating joint media strategies

•       Existing familiarity with the Gracie’s Corner brand and its audience

•       Familiarity with FTC endorsement guidelines and sponsored content compliance

•       Experience managing or directing the work of social media coordinators or content creators


What success looks like

•       Within the first 90 days, you’ve immersed yourself in the brand, audited the current marketing landscape, and presented a 12-month strategic vision to the founders that makes everyone in the room excited

•       By month 6, social media monetization is optimized across platforms, inbound partnership inquiries are being managed through a clear process, and the first deals are generating revenue

•       By year end, the marketing engine is humming: content strategy is driving audience growth, platform revenue is climbing, brand partnerships are flowing, and the Gracie’s Corner story is reaching more families than ever

•       The founders can point to you and say, “That’s the person who took our marketing to the next level.”
