The role involves working closely with underwriters, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver solutions that enable efficient risk evaluation, policy decisions, and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog to maximize business value
- Collaborate closely with underwriters, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Work with engineering teams to ensure timely and quality delivery
- Drive Agile ceremonies and ensure smooth sprint execution.
- Ensure solutions support:
- Risk evaluation and underwriting decisions
- Policy lifecycle management
- Workflow automation and efficiency
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams
- Continuously refine product features based on feedback and data insights

- Strong experience in the Insurance domain, especially Underwriting
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments
- 8–12+ years of overall experience
- Strong experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst in Agile environments
- Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar tools for backlog management
- Experience working with digital platforms and API-based solutions
- Strong understanding of business process workflows and automation
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- High level of ownership and accountability
