Job Description
Head of Design | Elevated Everyday Home Brand | Remote US
A taste led $50M Amazon home brand is hiring its next Head of Design. The role sets the creative direction for every product the brand makes across stationery, planners, home decor, baby and kids, kitchen, and giftable categories, with a single question in mind: "Will this sell, and is it beautiful?"
Please read before applying. This is a physical product design role. You will be designing planners, notebooks, ceramic vases, linen throws, wall art, wooden storage, baby blankets, and giftable objects that ship in boxes to real homes across the US. It has zero overlap with UX, UI, app design, SaaS, web, front end, or any digital only product work. It is also not a brand marketing, campaign, identity, or packaging creative director role, and not an industrial or furniture form designer role. If your portfolio is primarily screens, campaigns, logos, or chairs, this will not be the right fit and we will not be able to progress your application.
You will lead a team of five to eight designers and product developers and report directly to the founder. Decisions are made in days, not weeks.
The aesthetic
The frame is "elevated everyday." Warm modern minimalism. Muted earthy palettes of sage, beige, blush, terracotta, cream and dusty blue. Never neon, never primary. Generous white space. Linen textures, wood tones, organic shapes. A little gold foil where it earns its place. Modern serif paired with a clean sans.
