About The Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps / AWS / Python Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems, focusing on automation, deployment, and system sustainment within a secure environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automation scripts, supporting microservices deployment via DevSecOps pipelines, and maintaining infrastructure across Windows and Linux platforms. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, security compliance, and operational efficiency. Multiple locations in Maryland, Missouri, and Virginia are available, with a direct placement and paid relocation options. The annual salary can go up to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, self-starting attitude with excellent communication skills. A minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience with Kubernetes infrastructure, preferably with OpenShift or EKS, is required. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience working with Docker containers and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Microsoft PowerShell. Experience in administering both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, along with a solid understanding of custom code development and review processes, is essential. Familiarity with GITLAB functionalities, error handling, and scripting is necessary. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, S3, ECS, and AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, Load Balancing, Autoscaling) is highly preferred. Candidates must possess a CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification, a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, and an active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access post-hire. Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, is required. Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, Linux certifications, experience with geospatial technologies like ArcGIS, and familiarity with team collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat.
