Job Description



Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Marketing Automation Specialist with our power technology client in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay: $22.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Full remote position. Standard business hours.

Description:
We’re seeking a strategic and results-driven Marketing Cloud Specialist to join our digital marketing team. This role is focused on designing, building, and executing data-driven campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a strong emphasis on journey orchestration, audience segmentation, and campaign performance optimization. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver personalized customer experiences and drive measurable engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Journey Building: Create and manage automated customer journeys using Journey Builder to deliver personalized, multi-step experiences across email, SMS, and other channels.
• Campaign Execution: Design, build, and launch multi-channel marketing campaigns using Email Studio, Automation Studio, and related SFMC tools.
• Audience Segmentation: Manage subscriber data, build targeted segments, and use dynamic content to personalize messaging.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor campaign metrics, conduct A/B testing, and analyze KPIs to optimize engagement and conversion.
• Platform Management: Maintain and enhance Marketing Cloud functionality, including automations, filters, and data extensions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and IT teams to gather requirements and support campaign execution.
• Technical Customization: Use AMPscript, SQL, and basic HTML/CSS to enhance personalization and campaign logic.
• Data Integration: Ensure proper data flow between Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, and other systems to support campaign targeting and reporting.
• Compliance & Deliverability: Ensure campaigns meet regulatory standards (e.g., CAN-SPAM) and monitor deliverability and engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio)
• Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM and its integration with Marketing Cloud
• Experience with audience segmentation and dynamic content personalization
• Familiarity with AMPscript and SQL for advanced personalization and data queries
• Knowledge of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud for audience enrichment and real-time personalization
• Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and dashboards
• Basic HTML/CSS skills for email customization
