The QTI Group is partnering with Lakeshore College to hire a strategic, relationship-driven Executive Director of Facilities to lead campus facilities, capital planning, and fiscal stewardship across a multi-campus environment. This is a senior leadership role for a facilities professional who goes beyond day-to-day maintenance to thrive in budget ownership, capital project oversight, and cross-functional partnership. With consistent annual remodels and major capital investments planned, this role plays a critical part in shaping the future of the campus. Lakeshore College is one of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges and is deeply rooted in serving students, employers, and the surrounding community.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Administration, the Executive Director of Facilities provides strategic leadership and oversight for all facilities functions, including planning, construction, renovation, maintenance, safety, security, and risk management. You’ll partner with senior leadership, Deans, architects, and contractors to balance institutional needs, financial stewardship, and long-range planning. This role is approximately: 50% facilities leadership & capital planning, 30% budget ownership and financial management, and 20% campus safety, security, and risk oversight
Strategic Facilities Leadership
- Lead campus-wide facilities strategy, operations, and infrastructure planning
- Oversee construction, renovation, and capital projects from concept through completion
- Serve as the primary liaison with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
- Ensure compliance with WTCS, state, and local regulations
- Develop long-range capital and facilities master plans
- Represent Lakeshore College in technical college system-wide facilities and regulatory groups
Budget & Financial Management
- Own and manage multi-million-dollar capital budgets and operating budgets
- Track expenditures, analyze trends, and ensure fiscal accountability
- Prepare reports for leadership and state/system requirements
- Collaborate closely with finance and college leadership on planning and prioritization
- Work extensively in Excel and spreadsheet-based financial tools

Campus Safety, Security & Risk
- Provide executive oversight of campus safety, security, and risk management programs
- Partner closely with the Safety, Security & Risk Administrator
- Support insurance matters, audits, and incident response
- Lead continuous improvement in campus safety and compliance initiatives

- Directly manage the Facilities Manager and Safety, Security & Risk Administrator
- Lead a team of maintenance, security, and facilities staff
- Set clear expectations, coach performance, and foster a collaborative team culture
- Build strong relationships across the College with Deans, department leaders, and ELT
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 8+ years of related facilities experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong accounting and budget management background
- Experience overseeing capital projects and working with architects and general contractors
- Comfort operating in a highly administrative, report-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in the use of Excel for analysis and reporting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time-management skills with a customer-first focus.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license (MVR check required)

Salary Range: $111,051 – $130,645
