Role: Head of Product
Location: San Francisco (onsite 6 days/week)
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 + Equity (up to 4%)

Our client is a Pre-Seed Stage AI FinTech start-up democratizing compute through commoditization. They are a highly successful team of 5 with strong investors supporting their early growth. Our client moves quickly and has built a high performing culture where you have true ownership of your work.
They’re looking for a Member of Technical Staff who is deeply obsessed with the problem they’re solving and wants to turn first-principles thinking into real, working systems.
The Role
They are hiring a Head of Product that will evolve into Chief Product Officer. You’ll own products across the entire company, not just a surface area. This means defining what they build, why it matters, and how it all connects from early ideas to shipped systems that actually get used. You’ll work directly with the founder and operate as a true partner in shaping the direction of the company. There are no layers. No handoffs. No hiding behind the process. This is high ownership, high trust, and very real responsibility.

What You’ll Do
Product Direction & Ownership
- Take over existing PRD, customer beta tests, design partners
- Define product strategy from zero to one
- Decide what gets built and why
- Turn ambiguous ideas into clear, actionable direction
- Ensure everything ties back to real outcomes
Execution & Delivery
- Work side by side with engineering to ship quickly
- Work with fractional compliance officer on banking/finance requirements
- Build KYC, AML, fraud monitoring, transaction monitoring features
- Prioritize ruthlessly across competing needs
- Create clarity without slowing things down
- Build lightweight systems that help us move faster

What They’re Looking For
- Strong product leadership experience in fast, high-stakes environments, preferably an AI Start-Up
- Startup experience with gritty, hands-on mentality
- Conversational knowledge of hedge funds, indexes, exchanges helpful
- Experience owning product strategy and execution, both required
- Ability to operate in ambiguity without needing structure
