About the Role

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join a fast-growing team supporting healthcare organisations in delivering safer, more secure, and more efficient services.


This role places strong emphasis on hands-on experience with Azure security tools, particularly Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel, along with building and operating security monitoring and incident response capabilities.

You will play a key role in strengthening cloud security posture through proactive threat detection, alert investigation, and continuous improvement of security operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to security threats across Azure environments
  • Design, build, and maintain detection and monitoring using Azure Defender for Cloud and Azure Sentinel
  • Create and manage Sentinel data collection rules
  • Develop incident response playbooks and remediation processes
  • Investigate security alerts and incidents to ensure effective response and compliance
  • Contribute to threat modelling and secure design reviews
  • Support cloud stability through monitoring, automation, and performance tuning
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and improve operational workflows
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and analytics teams
  • Provide on-call support to ensure system reliability and security


What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Security tools, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Sentinel (essential)
  • Azure Defender for Cloud โ€“ Intermediate level experience
  • Azure Sentinel โ€“ Intermediate level experience
  • Azure Policy โ€“ Junior / foundational experience
  • Experience in DevOps or cloud operations with a strong Azure focus
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR solutions and incident response processes
  • Ability to triage, investigate, and resolve security incidents
  • Strong understanding of Azure services (VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Monitoring, etc.)
  • Experience with PowerShell and/or T-SQL (desirable)
  • Understanding of security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS benchmarks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Healthcare IT or data environment experience is highly regarded
