Job Title: NOC Supervisor
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite). Must be local, commutable, or open to relocation. Relocation assistance provided for candidates outside the local commuting area.
Compensation: $75,000–$90,000 salary (dependent on experience) + $5,000 signing bonus.
Shift: 3rd Shift
Overview:
Telvero is seeking a hands-on NOC Supervisor to lead a small team in a fast-paced network operations environment. This role is ideal for a strong Tier 2 technician ready to step into management. The supervisor will oversee daily operations, support network performance, and play a key role in incident response, outage management, and change coordination.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage 3 to 4 direct reports, including one-on-ones, performance reviews, and coaching.
- Supervise daily NOC operations, including workload distribution, scheduling, and team availability.
- Monitor ticket queues and ensure timely resolution aligned with SLAs.
- Maintain ticket quality and identify team training opportunities.
- Act as a technical escalation point and assist with troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Coordinate with engineering on change management activities, reviewing and validating high volumes of changes.
- Lead incident response during shift and drive outage resolution.
- Support onboarding and development of new team members.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in a weekend on-call rotation (48 hours every 3 to 4 weeks).

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of telecommunications or network operations experience.
- 1 to 2 years of leadership experience or demonstrated ability to transition into a management role.
- Experience with incident and outage management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams.

Technical Requirements:
- Experience with Adtran (PON/Access) preferred.
- Experience with Calix or similar vendors acceptable.
- Familiarity with Juniper and Mikrotik is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- JNCIA, Adtran, or Network+ preferred.
