We are currently seeking an experienced Market Research Director / Sr. Research Director to lead a project team in executing market research projects, using a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Qualified candidates will have experience in questionnaire design, survey programming, data collection, data processing, analysis, and reporting.
The Market Research Director / Sr. Research Director will also be instrumental in developing strong client and vendor relationships, and must have strong skills in leadership, communications, analysis, and insights identification.
Breakthrough Research is a ‘Virtual First’ company, and this position will be 100% remote with occasional business travel. We are seeking candidates based in any of the following states: Arizona, California, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
The salary for this role is $115k - $150k, depending on experience. For candidates interested in business development, this role could potentially be a Director/Account Manager hybrid role which could in time transition to biz dev exclusively. Should there be a sales component to the role, there is flexibility for the salary to fall above the upper end of the pay range.

Qualifications:
- BA and/or MA in a related field
- Minimum 8 years of previous research experience (minimum 10 years if interested in an RD/AM hybrid role)
- Broad understanding of research methodologies and principles, including quantitative and qualitative approaches
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to learn and grow within the role
- Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required
- Ability to use SPSS and/or other statistical software packages is a plus
- Strong sense of design and/or experience with design software is a plus
- Some travel required
