Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead development and implementation of SQF-based food safety and quality systems
  • Oversee HACCP plans, CCP monitoring, and compliance verification
  • Ensure all facilities are audit-ready (SQF, HACCP, internal & third-party audits)
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for quality performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across food safety and quality
  • Manage traceability systems and oversee mock recalls
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FSMA, allergen, sanitation, and chemical control programs
  • Train and develop staff across QA, operations, sanitation, and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Lead CAPA initiatives and root cause analysis efforts
  • Prepare plant teams for audits and manage audit execution
  • Stay current on food safety regulations and industry standards
Qualifications (Needed)
Structure:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing (human or pet food)
  • HACCP Certification (required)
  • PCQI Certification (required)
  • SQF or BRC Certification (required)
  • Strong background in food safety systems, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness
  • Proven ability to lead quality programs and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with traceability systems and recall programs
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with quality systems software (e.g., TraceGains) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive continuous improvement
