About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Experience Designer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design of client websites from conception to completion, ensuring each project embodies character, soul, and strategic intent. You will be responsible for translating brand visions into compelling web experiences, creating interactive and scroll-worthy designs that stand out. Your expertise will influence visual identity development, interaction concepts, and motion design, working closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation.

This position requires a strategic thinker who designs with the perspective of a director and thinks like a strategist. You will participate in discovery sessions, extract and interpret brand directions, and translate ambiguity into clear design decisions. You will also maintain and evolve design systems and component libraries across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and scalability. Presenting your work confidently to clients, incorporating feedback, and pushing back when necessary are key aspects of this role. Staying current with web design trends and knowing when to innovate or ignore trends will be crucial to your success.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have 3–5 years of experience designing websites, with a portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in creating engaging, high-quality web experiences. Proficiency in Figma is essential, including advanced skills in components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, and delivering developer-ready handoffs. A keen eye for typography, whitespace, visual hierarchy, and pacing is vital for creating balanced and compelling designs.

You should think strategically, understanding that every design decision is purposeful. Comfort working across multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines is expected. Self-direction and excellent asynchronous communication skills are necessary, as the role operates in a remote, async-first environment. Confidence in presenting ideas to clients and defending your design choices is crucial. Additionally, a curiosity-driven mindset, experimentation, and a passion for the web as a creative medium will set you apart.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for client websites, from initial wireframes to polished, development-ready Figma files.

• Participate in or lead discovery sessions to understand brand goals and translate ambiguity into strategic design solutions.
