Job Description
Our agency client is looking for a full-time Director of Account Service (SEO) join their team. You will lead a team of SEO Account Managers to deliver exceptional account management, drive client satisfaction and retention, and support revenue growth. This role partners closely with senior leadership to strengthen value communication, scale operations through automation, and elevate the overall client experience.
This role is fully remote, but you must live in one of these states to be considered: AL, CO, FL, IL, IA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, MD, SC, TX, VA
Director of Account Service (SEO) Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4-6 SEO Account Managers, holding them accountable to KPIs and performance standards
- Oversee client portfolio health, retention, renewals, and upsell opportunities across CXM-managed accounts
- Improve how ROI, business impact, and value are communicated to clients through standardized frameworks and reporting
- Drive adoption of automation and AI tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and client service delivery
- Serve as an escalation point for client issues and ensure timely, effective resolution
- Establish and track performance metrics including NPS, retention, utilization, and portfolio growth
- Champion internal knowledge sharing and self-sufficiency through training, documentation, and process improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align client experience initiatives with company goals
Director of Account Service (SEO) Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a digital marketing agency environment with strong client relationship ownership
- Must have proven leadership experience managing and scaling high-performing client-facing teams
- Deep understanding of SEO, Â digital marketing strategy, performance measurement, and ROI analysis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear client value
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs and optimizing outcomes
- Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred), automation tools, and emerging AI technologies
- Professional services client experience (legal, dental, medical) strongly preferred
