Job Description

We are looking for Code Quality Lead / Senior Software Engineer to drive and anchor a holistic code quality concept.

This role sits at the intersection of software craftsmanship, architecture, tooling, and leadership, and is key to increase the quality of code and assure secure software delivery across all development teams

You will act as a subject‑matter expert, evangelist, and change driver, working closely with development teams, architects, and leadership to embed best programming practices into everyday development. The role will be placed in central Quality Assurance Team.

Responsibilities

• Own and further develop the Code Quality Concept, aligned with modern software engineering standards and business goals.
• Define, promote, and continuously improve best programming practices, coding standards, and design principles.
• Act as a technical lead for code quality across teams.
• Drive adoption and effective use of SonarQube from both: developer/end‑user perspective and administrative/governance perspective (rulesets, quality gates, reporting).
• Actively coach, mentor, and teach developers, fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Evangelize code quality through workshops, presentations, communities of practice, and hands‑on guidance.
• Collaborate with development managers, architects, and developers to ensure code quality is: embedded into CI/CD pipelines and a natural part of team workflows.
• Contribute to architectural discussions with a strong focus on maintainability, testability, and long‑term sustainability.

Requirements

• Strong focus on modern software development best practices
• Solid knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles
• Strong hands‑on programming skills in one or more of the following: Java / JavaScript or Python (Experience in multiple languages is a strong advantage; ability to quickly adapt and leverage new technologies is essential).
• Practical experience with SonarQube or similar code quality tools, including: daily usage by developers; configuration, rule management, quality gates, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how code quality fits into automated delivery.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic delivery.
• Relevant higher education (e.g. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar).
• Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work effectively in an international and cross‑functional environment.

• Ability to drive change across teams and build alignment.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of business drivers, risk, and compliance aspects related to code quality.
