This role is a unique opportunity for a creative leader who thrives at the intersection of design, copywriting, and performance marketing. You will oversee the creative direction of email and SMS campaigns, ensuring every asset is visually compelling, strategically aligned, and optimized for engagement and conversion. Working closely with cross-functional teams and international clients, you will guide both graphics and copywriting teams while maintaining high standards of quality and brand consistency. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, making it ideal for someone who enjoys balancing leadership, creativity, and marketing performance. You will contribute directly to campaign revenue growth through high-converting customer communication strategies. Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the creative vision and execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns while managing and mentoring multidisciplinary creative teams. You will ensure that all creative output aligns with client goals, performance expectations, and brand standards.

  • Oversee the quality and consistency of all copywriting and graphic design deliverables across email and SMS channels.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the development of Copywriting and Graphics teams through coaching, feedback, and hiring support.
  • Drive the creation of high-performing, conversion-focused campaigns that align with brand strategy and business goals.
  • Collaborate with account management and strategy teams to align creative direction with client objectives and revenue targets.
  • Review and optimize creative assets for mobile responsiveness and dark mode compatibility.
  • Handle client feedback and escalations professionally while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Utilize Klaviyo and apply HTML/CSS knowledge to support email production and campaign execution.
  • Ensure creative processes and outputs remain efficient, scalable, and performance-oriented.

Requirements

This role requires a strong creative leadership background combined with expertise in performance marketing, branding, and client communication within fast-paced eCommerce environments.

  • 8+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in DTC eCommerce email, SMS, or CRM marketing.
  • Strong expertise in branding, graphic design, and copywriting principles.
  • Proven experience leading creative teams and managing high-quality campaign delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo and familiarity with email marketing workflows.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS for email design and development support.
  • Experience working with international clients, particularly across North America and/or Australia.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across diverse stakeholders and time zones.
  • Performance-driven mindset with the ability to balance creativity and business impact.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant creative work and campaign results.
  • Willingness to participate in a paid assessment during the hiring process.
