The Opportunity
Hudbay Minerals Inc. is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our accounting financial information. In this position, you'll be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis that support our internal and external financial reporting, all in accordance with IFRS standards.
Work Location:
You'll have the flexibility to choose your work arrangement: either work remotely with occasional travel to our site, or relocate to the vibrant community of Flin Flon, Manitoba.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $118,000 - $131,000, depending on your experience. Our comprehensive compensation package also includes:

Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Accounting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, reconciliations, cash flows and financial statements. This includes managing cost of sales, inter-company reconciliations, ensuring all reporting aligns with the month-end checklist.
- External and internal financial reporting
- Sustainability and Transparency Reporting: Prepare annual CSR and ESTMA reports.
- SOx and Internal Controls: Ensure the operational effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, maintain SOx documentation, and respond to auditor requests promptly. You'll also be accountable for ensuring proper approvals are documented before system changes.
- Compliance: Guarantee adherence to all statutory requirements, legislation, regulations, policies, work standards, and governance, fostering integrity and transparency in all financial information.
