Senior Front-End Shopify Developer

WMP Eyewear is looking for a highly skilled long-term Fractional Front-End Shopify Developer to help elevate and optimize the online customer experience across our eCommerce storefront. This is a hands-on contract role focused on front-end execution, UI/UX refinement, and building polished, high-converting experiences within Shopify.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical Shopify development skills with an exceptional eye for detail, responsive design, and user experience. The ideal candidate understands how thoughtful front-end execution directly impacts conversion, engagement, and overall brand perception.

You’ll work closely with internal creative, marketing, and growth teams to continuously improve PDPs, collection pages, mobile UX, merchandising experiences, and overall site quality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Front-End Shopify Development

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify storefront experiences using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify theme architecture
• Execute high-quality front-end builds with strong attention to UI/UX, responsiveness, and performance
• Improve and refine PDPs, collection pages, navigation, filters, cart flows, and mobile shopping experiences
• Translate design concepts and wireframes into polished, production-ready experiences

UX & Conversion Optimization

• Identify opportunities to improve usability, conversion, and customer experience throughout the site. Improve conversion through checkout, upsells, and cross-sells
• Ensure all pages are optimized for mobile-first performance and responsive behavior

• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to implement A/B tests, merchandising updates, and conversion-focused enhancements
• Maintain visual consistency and strong brand presentation across all touchpoints

Site Maintenance & Quality Control

• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs, styling inconsistencies, and UX issues. Implement and manage integrations (i.e. ReCharge, Klaviyo, etc.)
• QA and test experiences across browsers, devices, and screen sizes
• Review, test, and deploy code with quality and reliability in mind
• Conduct regular site audits and maintain version control
• Help improve overall site speed, performance, and front-end scalability
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced eCommerce environment with ongoing development needs

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years of experience Front End Shopify eCommerce Development
• Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive development
• Experience with Shopify APIs (Admin, GraphQL) and experience with third-party Shopify apps (e.g., ReCharge, Klaviyo, Rebuy)
• Familiarity with React or Vue and SPA concepts
• Solid understanding of responsive design, SEO, and performance optimization
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
