Senior Systems Engineer – Imaging

Location: 100% Remote

Pay Rate: $65–$75/hour (W-2)

No C2C or Third-Party Candidates

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer – Imaging to support enterprise infrastructure and application environments through architecture, design, implementation, optimization, and operational support of critical systems.

This role is responsible for engineering highly available, high-performing solutions while leading infrastructure initiatives, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving best practices across the environment. The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering experience across Windows infrastructure, networking, enterprise platforms, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise infrastructure systems and services
  • Lead system architecture, integration, testing, and implementation efforts
  • Research emerging technologies and align solutions with enterprise standards
  • Assess technical risk and system readiness for operational turnover
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business and technical requirements
  • Develop scalable, operationally supportable infrastructure solutions
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, performance optimization, and operational improvements
  • Provide operational support and troubleshoot escalated incidents and system issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Communicate status updates, risks, and resolution plans to leadership
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior systems engineers
  • Ensure solutions align with service level and operational requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience in enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting Medical Imaging

Experience across the full systems development lifecycle, including:

  • Requirements gathering
  • Design
  • Implementation
  • Testing
  • Support

Strong knowledge of:

  • Windows Server and Desktop platforms
  • Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS)
  • Enterprise directories
  • Storage subsystems
  • Relational databases
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and operational issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
