Develop and execute proactive PR and earned media strategies that strengthen overall brand perception and awareness
Build compelling brand narratives and storytelling opportunities across lifestyle, culture, and consumer media
Partner with agency teams to drive media placements, creator events, activations, and brand moments
Oversee ongoing media relations efforts and help position the brand as a leader within its category
Track and analyze earned media impact, share of voice, sentiment, and overall PR effectiveness
Build and maintain reporting frameworks to measure influencer and PR performance, including EMV, engagement, and brand health metrics
Use performance data to optimize creator selection, campaign strategy, and investment allocation
Establish scalable workflows, operational processes, and test-and-learn methodologies to improve program effectiveness over time

Job Description


Our client is seeking a Director, Influencer Marketing & PR to lead and evolve a next-generation creator and earned media strategy for a consumer lifestyle brand. This role will own the vision, strategy, and execution across influencer marketing and public relations, with a strong focus on building culturally relevant campaigns, driving brand desirability, and scaling creator advocacy programs.


Location: 100% Remote

Salary Range: $130-155K

Type: Full-Time, Salaried

What You’ll Do:

Influencer Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and lead the long-term influencer marketing vision and roadmap
  • Build scalable, tiered creator programs that foster authentic brand advocacy and community engagement
  • Lead influencer campaign strategy from concept through execution and performance analysis
  • Identify emerging creator, platform, and cultural trends to inform future marketing opportunities
  • Manage influencer agency relationships and oversee creator negotiations, contracts, compliance, and usage rights
  • Drive integrated creator partnerships that support larger marketing and brand initiatives


PR & Brand Communications

  • Develop and execute proactive PR and earned media strategies that strengthen overall brand perception and awareness
  • Build compelling brand narratives and storytelling opportunities across lifestyle, culture, and consumer media
  • Partner with agency teams to drive media placements, creator events, activations, and brand moments
  • Oversee ongoing media relations efforts and help position the brand as a leader within its category
  • Track and analyze earned media impact, share of voice, sentiment, and overall PR effectiveness


Data, Measurement & Optimization

  • Build and maintain reporting frameworks to measure influencer and PR performance, including EMV, engagement, and brand health metrics
  • Use performance data to optimize creator selection, campaign strategy, and investment allocation
  • Establish scalable workflows, operational processes, and test-and-learn methodologies to improve program effectiveness over time


Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on influencer marketing, creator culture, and earned media trends
  • Manage and mentor internal team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Partner closely with integrated marketing, creative, product, social, retail, and leadership teams to ensure alignment across campaigns and launches
  • Present strategic recommendations, performance insights, and investment opportunities to senior leadership


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, PR, integrated communications, or brand marketing
  • Strong brand-side and/or agency experience leading large-scale influencer and earned media programs
  • Proven success building creator strategies that drive engagement, brand affinity, and measurable business outcomes
  • Deep understanding of creator marketing trends, social platforms, and evolving consumer behaviors
  • Experience managing influencer and PR agency relationships at a strategic level
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to optimize campaigns and justify investment decisions
  • Hands-on experience with influencer marketing platforms such as CreatorIQ; familiarity with Tribe Dynamics or similar tools preferred
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving, and entrepreneurial environments
