Day to day:
An employer is seeking an AI Software / Platform Engineer to join our Platform team within the Product and Technology Group (PTX). This role will drive the modernization of our infrastructure by leading the migration of workloads from traditional Windows VMs to cloud-native Kubernetes clusters managed by Rancher, while contributing to full stack development when the team needs it—building or improving internal tools, APIs, and automation that make the platform workflows more effective.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Design, implement, and maintain GitOps-driven infrastructure using GitLab/GitHub, OpenTofu/Terraform, and Ansible.
• Own and evolve database DevOps practices—source control, migrations, and automated testing
• Contribute to full stack development as needed: build or improve internal tools, APIs, dashboards, or operator UIs that support the platform and our teams.
• Build and enhance centralized logging, monitoring, and observability capabilities across the platform.
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve environment issues in collaboration with the Platform & Networking team.
• Maintain up-to-date, high-quality documentation and infrastructure-as-code repositories.
• Continuously improve automation, security, reliability, and cost efficiency of the platform.
