Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are seeking an experienced Windows Server & VMware Administrator to manage and support enterprise Windows infrastructure, Active Directory services, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with Microsoft server technologies, VMware vSphere, and a solid understanding of ITIL-based service management processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012.
• Manage and support Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure and related services.
• Administer Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Active Directory replication.
• Monitor and maintain server health, performance, and availability across enterprise environments.
• Perform Windows Server security patching, updates, and compliance activities.

• Support and maintain Windows Failover Clustering environments.
• Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure, including deployment, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and support VMware features such as vMotion, DRS, High Availability (HA), cloning, templates, and snapshots.
• Assist with infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and virtualization projects.
• Support cloud-based infrastructure and services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and participate in root cause analysis activities.
• Maintain operational documentation and adhere to change management procedures.
• Work within ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.

Windows Infrastructure

• Strong experience with Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 administration and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience managing: Active Directory Services, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Active Directory Replication

VMware Virtualization

• Strong experience with VMware vSphere environments (vSphere 5.x and 6.x).
• Expertise in: vMotion, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), High Availability (HA), Virtual Machine Cloning, Templates, Snapshots
• Experience managing and troubleshooting virtual infrastructure environments.

Cloud Platforms

• Good knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

IT Service Management

• Practical experience working within ITIL-based operational environments.
• Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management processes.
