Support and maintain data workflows involving Azure Databricks, Epic Caboodle, and Microsoft Fabric tools
Participate in the development and management of Power BI models, Slicer Dicer data models, and other analytics platforms

About The Role

The Remote Data Engineer I at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is a vital role dedicated to supporting the development and maintenance of robust data pipelines and curated datasets. Working under the guidance of senior data engineers, the successful candidate will focus on foundational data engineering activities, including data preparation, validation, and documentation. The role emphasizes building trusted data at scale to support operational reporting, enterprise analytics, and innovative AI-driven solutions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence or comparable data engineering roles, preferably within healthcare
  • Proficiency with Microsoft BI tools, T SQL, ETL processes, data modeling, and data visualization
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with Epic applications and Epic database structures
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Relevant certifications such as Epic Radar, Reporting Workbench, Clarity Data, Caboodle, or Microsoft SQL certifications are preferred
  • Knowledge of AI development, machine learning platforms, and Microsoft Fabric development is a plus
