We continue to grow and are looking for a Software Architect specialized in AI & Automation platforms to join a cutting-edge project in Barcelona.
Responsibilities
- Bring a strong product and business mindset. This is not a purely theoretical role — we are looking for a hands-on profile with real coding capabilities, able to define architecture, make technical decisions, and support the team in execution (code reviews, PRs, etc.).
- Translate business needs into viable technical solutions, acting as a bridge between Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Define and lead the platform architecture (AI / automation).
- Validate technical decisions and ensure code quality (code reviews, PR approvals, best practices).
- Participate in the design of distributed systems, AI/ML architectures (including LLMs), data models, and integrations.
- Develop prototypes / PoCs to validate solutions in an agile way.
- Ensure strong focus on scalability, performance, and business value.
- Participate in customer discovery sessions (print shops, production teams, operations) to understand processes, margins, and pain points.
- Ensure technology and product decisions are aligned with scalability and business impact.
- Daily use of English in an international environment.
- We are open to candidates from anywhere in the world.
- Candidates with EU citizenship or a valid work permit in Spain will be highly valued, as it allows for faster onboarding.
- However, we are also open to supporting visa sponsorship for the right profile.
- ✅ Important: this is an on-site role and relocation to Barcelona is mandatory (no remote option).

Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or similar.
- +5 years of experience in technical roles (Software Architect, Product Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar).
- Proven hands-on programming experience (Python, TypeScript, Go, etc.).
- Experience designing and delivering systems to production.
- Background in backend architectures / distributed systems, integrations (APIs, webhooks, workflows).
- Ability to communicate and translate between technical and business profiles.
- High level of English (spoken and written).
- Availability to work on-site in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
- Hands-on experience in AI/ML solutions (LLMs, automation pipelines, agent workflows, etc.).
- Experience in workflow automation, RPA, document processing, or industrial IoT.
- Experience in industrial or production environments.
