Job Description


Agency Noir is seeking an Associate Creative Director to grow our team in Seattle, WA. The ACD will develop and present creative concepts, produce exceptional work across our client projects, and help shape the creative vision at Noir. This role will be equal parts creative leadership and hands-on work, and will require proficiency in both art and copy direction. Applicants should have experience in narrative development and feedback for video.

In a typical day, you may be asked to:

  • Write a campaign brief. 
  • Work from an approved narrative brief to shape a video paper cut. 
  • Offer copy edits for a technical blog article, with particular attention paid to factual accuracy, voice, and product roadmap. 
  • Meet with leadership to help estimate a new project, and roll into drafting a treatment to support the sales effort. 
  • Review a figma board of design concepts, offering notes to refine direction and keep the work on track. 
  • Help the design team work through some visual styling choices, with the goal of handing off files to animation by EOW. 
  • Revise the morning’s brief per notes from client partner and creative director. 
  • Present concepts or lead a check-in with clients. 


The ideal candidate will: 

  • Bring 5-8 years of industry experience in creative leadership, art direction, or design. 
  • Value collaboration and communication. 
  • Be meticulous about the details.
  • Be strategy-driven and comfortable asking questions.
  • Be passionate about the creative process and flexible in adapting to project needs. 
  • Be comfortable operating in ambiguity. 
  • Be capable of providing clear, constructive feedback.  
  • Be comfortable leading creative ideation and delivery across multiple project types, including video, digital, social, print, OOH, experiential. 
  • Have background in both design and copywriting, and/or strong cross-discipline fluency.
  • Be practiced at balancing multiple projects across multiple clients simultaneously, while maintaining the highest standard of creative quality. 
  • Be experienced working with multi-channel campaigns.
  • Be skeptical of what AI is telling you, and perfectly capable of reading your own emails, thank you very much. 
  • Enjoy the process of growing a small business.
  • Be fluent in standard creative tools: you’ll be spending a lot of time in Adobe CC, Figma, Docs, Keynote, and Office.

Summary:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000 - $140,000 per year
