Job Description
FLAGSHIP
Senior Project Manager
Department: Operations · Full-time
Location: Fully remote, U.S.-based
About Flagship
Flagship is a brand-led creative studio. We build brands for the first, the best, and the boldest, and we have done it for names like Rhode, A24, Dior, COOLA, Billabong, Maui Jim and Anotherland. Our work runs from brand strategy and identity through campaigns and content, and our reputation rests on two things: clarity that guides and chemistry that moves. We are lean, senior, and fully remote.
Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager owns delivery end to end across our full range of brand and campaign work, keeping a lean, senior team and a deep freelance bench running on scope, on time, and on budget. We are looking for someone who has done this inside a creative brand agency and is at home with the breadth of what we take on, from full brand strategy to campaigns to website rebuilds and everything in between. You are just as comfortable steering a large, complex engagement as a small, fast-turn one, and you move between them without missing a beat. This role is the steady operational hand that lets our creative team do their best work. It is senior by design: you run your own book with minimal oversight, and you protect both the work and its economics.
Core Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Own the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent brand and campaign projects, from intake through delivery
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones in Asana
- Keep every project on scope, on time, and on budget, and surface risk early rather than late
Resourcing & the Freelance Bench
- Cast, brief, and manage freelancers and internal creatives against each project
- Match capacity to demand week to week and flag conflicts before they become problems
- Build and maintain relationships across our freelance bench so we can scale up and down cleanly
Estimating, Budget & Margin

- Build project estimates and statements of work, scoping hours and freelance costs against the fee
- Own project budgets and protect margin, tracking hours and scope against the fee throughout the project
- Oversee budgets management and provide regular analysis of actuals vs forecast, capture all learnings to inform future projects.
- Manage scope changes and change orders with discipline and tact
Creative Review & Approvals
- Run creative review cycles and schedule check-ins that keep the work aligned to the brief
- Track revisions and manage approvals at each stage, from concept through first edit to final delivery
- Keep feedback consolidated and the team moving, acting as the steward of the brief
Client & Team Communication
- Run delivery, status, and timeline communication in partnership with account and creative leads
- Keep every project legible to the client and the internal team
Process & Tools
- Uphold and improve our project management process and rituals in Asana and Forecast
- Contribute to SOPs and best practices that keep the studio running cleanly
Client Partnership & Account Health (supporting role)
- Deliver work so well that clients stay and come back. Retention and repeat business start with execution, and that part is squarely yours
- Build genuine, trusted relationships with the clients on your projects, and be someone they want to work with again
- Stay close enough to a client's business to notice when a need or an opportunity is taking shape, and pass that signal to the account owner (our founders for now) rather than chasing it yourself
- Take part in account planning and growth conversations as the delivery expert. You influence the relationship and the pipeline; you are not accountable for the number

The Ideal Candidate
The person who thrives here is the calm center of a busy studio. They love order, they clear the path for creatives, and they run toward problems before those problems find them.
- Unflappable under pressure, and able to juggle many moving parts without dropping any
- Ruthlessly organized and detail-oriented, so nothing falls through the cracks
- Proactive and anticipatory, spotting risk early and raising it plainly
- Diplomatic but firm, protecting scope, timeline, and margin without becoming a blocker
- A natural communicator who keeps clients, creatives, and freelancers aligned
- Self-directed and trustworthy with autonomy, not someone who needs managing closely
- Comfortable in an agile environment with proven ability to pivot priority to the occasional fire drill
- Business-minded, seeing the margin behind the work and treating it as their own
- Commercially aware. You understand that great delivery is what earns the next project, and you act like it
What You Bring
- Six or more years of project management in an agency or creative studio, ideally on brand and campaign work
- A track record running senior, across several projects at once, with little hand-holding
- Real comfort managing a freelance bench, not just internal teams
- Financial fluency: you understand how estimates, scope, hours, and budget connect to margin
- Fluency with project and resourcing tools. We run on Asana and Forecast
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. We value a strong track record over credentials; a PM certification (PMP, Agile, or Scrum) is a plus, not a requirement
