The Opportunity
At Infinite Lambda, analytics engineers transform vast volumes of data into insightful, user-friendly, automated reports. They collaborate closely with both our internal engineering team and our partners’ project teams to deliver reports that drive more informed business decisions. In this role, you will be embedded within client engagements, taking ownership of data transformation and the semantic layer, with dbt as your primary tool. Strong business intelligence skills are essential, as you will ensure that every data model directly supports clean, high-performance dashboards and self-service analytics. Hands-on experience with Omni BI is a significant advantage.
This role is an opportunistic hire for Q3.2026, so please keep in mind that the process will be slower than usual. We're taking the time to find the good long-term match, ensuring efficiency for both sides.
- Contract duration: Permanent contract (1 year setup) through B2B
- Daily Requirement: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday

- TPF (Technical Progression Framework) Interview with Engineering Team: 90 minutes
- EPF (Engineering Progression Framework) Interview with Engineering Team: 60 minutes

- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade dbt projects for our clients (models, tests, macros, snapshots, documentation, and semantic layer)
- Build clean, well-documented analytics marts and metrics layers optimized for BI consumption and performance
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, BI teams, and our consultants to define business metrics and translate requirements into reliable data models
- Implement rigorous data quality testing, monitoring, lineage, and governance practices
- Optimize cloud warehouse performance for fast BI experiences (incremental models, materializations, query tuning)
- Support BI tool implementations and dashboard delivery by delivering analytics-ready data
- Manage Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DataOps best practices in client environments
- Quickly ramp up on new client stacks and proactively improve their data foundation during the engagement

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or equivalent
- Expert-level proficiency with dbt - you must have owned full production dbt projects end-to-end (modeling, testing, documentation, CI/CD)
- Strong BI expertise: proven ability to define KPIs/metrics and build/optimize data models that power dashboards in Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Omni BI, or similar tools
- Advanced SQL and dimensional data modeling skills (star schemas, semantic layers, incremental processing)
- Solid experience with at least one modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks) - Snowflake is a plus
- Comfortable working independently as a contractor in client-facing environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely with distributed teams
- Own legal entity / VAT number (or equivalent) for B2B contracting
