Senior Software Engineer (Analysis)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Analysis) based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to build and shape core product capabilities within a fast-growing, distributed engineering organization focused on solving complex challenges around software supply chain security, compliance, and risk management. You will work across the full product lifecycle, contributing from early ideation through to production deployment, with significant ownership of user-facing features and technical architecture. The environment is highly collaborative yet autonomous, giving engineers the freedom to choose impactful problems and drive solutions end-to-end. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, customer success, and growth, ensuring engineering decisions are tightly aligned with business outcomes. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work directly influences product direction and customer value. The team values experimentation, fast iteration, and strong engineering craftsmanship in a fully distributed setup.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will take ownership of designing, building, and refining core product capabilities that directly impact users and business outcomes. You will collaborate across the organization to translate ideas into scalable technical solutions while contributing to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.

• Drive end-to-end development of product features from ideation through design, implementation, and production
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-impact solutions
• Own user-facing features and contribute to shaping the technical architecture and product roadmap
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across backend and full-stack components
• Participate in technical decision-making and help evaluate trade-offs in system design
• Contribute to improving system reliability, performance, and observability
• Support engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and shared best practices
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure system stability in production environments
  
  

Requirements

This role requires strong full-stack or backend engineering experience, with the ability to independently own complex features in a SaaS environment. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative settings where experimentation and iteration are encouraged.

• 3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer
• Experience building and scaling SaaS products in production environments
• Strong proficiency in backend development and relational databases, including writing optimized SQL queries
• Experience working across modern programming languages such as Rust, Go, TypeScript, or similar
• Familiarity with observability tools and production system monitoring
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in production environments is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Growth mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and mentor others
