Job Description
- PureRoots | Farmers • Natural Products • Sustainable Brands
- Are you a creative storyteller with a genuine passion for sustainability, regenerative farming, and ethical business? Do you love turning soil-to-table journeys, farm-fresh produce, and planet-positive products into scroll-stopping content that builds community and drives real results?
- PureRoots is a specialist marketing agency dedicated to championing farmers, natural product makers, and sustainable companies across the UK. We help brands that care deeply about the environment, animal welfare, and regenerative practices connect authentically with conscious consumers.
- We’re looking for a Freelance Social Media Manager to join us on a flexible, project or retainer basis. This is a perfect role for someone who wants meaningful work that aligns with their values while enjoying the freedom of freelance life.
- What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute engaging social media strategies across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest for our clients (farmers, artisan food producers, natural skincare/cosmetics, eco-friendly brands, etc.)
- Create high-quality content calendars, captions, and visuals that highlight authentic stories — from farm gates to dinner plates
- Manage community engagement, respond to comments/DMs, and build loyal audiences
- Run targeted organic and paid social campaigns (Meta + LinkedIn ads experience a big plus)
- Analyse performance, report on growth and ROI, and suggest optimisation ideas
- Collaborate closely with our small team and directly with client founders
- What we’re looking for:
- Strong portfolio showing proven results in social media growth and engagement (especially in lifestyle, food, farming, wellness, or sustainability niches)
- Deep passion for organic, regenerative, and sustainable living — this isn’t just a job for you
- Excellent writing skills with a warm, authentic voice that resonates with UK audiences
- Experience creating Reels, carousels, and short-form video content
- Full working rights in the UK (essential — you must be UK-based)
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple client accounts
- Bonus: photography/videography skills, Canva + CapCut proficiency, or experience with farm/brand photography
- Why work with us?
- Work with purpose-driven clients who are making a real difference
- Flexible hours and fully remote (UK time zone)
- Competitive freelance day rate or project fees (depending on experience)
- Opportunity to grow with a specialist agency in a booming green economy sector
- If you’re someone who gets excited about a beautiful field of wildflowers, a new heritage vegetable variety, or a zero-waste packaging innovation — and you know how to turn that excitement into content that converts — we’d love to hear from you.
- To apply:
- Please send your CV, a short cover note telling us why you’re passionate about sustainable marketing, and 2–3 examples of social media campaigns or accounts you’re most proud of to [your email address].
- We review applications on a rolling basis and can’t wait to meet our next team member who shares our love for the land and honest storytelling.
- PureRoots – Rooted in authenticity and sustainability. 🌱
