Mintlayer is on a mission to become the UAE's first blockchain unicorn, and the people who join in the next twelve months will define whether we get there. The hires made in 2026 are the ones who will be in the room when we cross that line. You are the person who finds them, attracts them, and makes sure they stay.
This is one of the most interesting talent challenges in the industry right now. You are building a people function for a company at the intersection of Bitcoin protocol engineering and institutional finance, two talent markets that barely overlap. You get to design the compensation architecture, the culture, and the hiring process that makes Mintlayer the place serious people choose over every other opportunity.
What You Will Own
- Build Mintlayer's full hiring infrastructure: ATS, sourcing strategy, interview frameworks, offer mechanics, and onboarding programs
- Design compensation and leveling frameworks calibrated to Abu Dhabi market rates and global remote benchmarks, with ML token allocation and vesting structures
- Shape Mintlayer's employer brand across both crypto-native and institutional finance talent markets
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: UAE employment contracts, cross-border contractor agreements, performance reviews, and promotion criteria
- Build and maintain HR policies across all active jurisdictions: UAE, EU, and distributed contractor geographies
- Partner with department heads on workforce planning tied directly to 2026 roadmap milestones
- Report to the CEO on headcount progression, attrition risk, and organizational health as the company scales
- 8+ years HR leadership in a tech or fintech startup scaling phase
- Experience building people functions from under 20 to 100+ headcount
- Familiarity with UAE employment law and cross-border contractor structures
- Strong EQ, this org spans Bitcoin builders, TradFi executives, and DAO architects simultaneously
