What You'll Be Doing

As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll:

• Develop scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices
• Design and build REST APIs for enterprise platforms
• Help modernise legacy systems using cloud-native technologies

• Deploy and maintain applications in Kubernetes and containerised environments
• Work with AWS and cloud infrastructure to build reliable, scalable solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues and support enterprise applications
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and pair programming
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Security and Product teams
• Support event-driven architectures using technologies such as Apache Kafka
• Contribute to modern CI/CD and GitOps development practices
• Help deliver secure, high-performing software that serves mission-critical users

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of professional software development experience, or an Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience
• Strong Java and object-oriented programming skills
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
• Cloud experience with AWS or similar platforms
• Knowledge of Agile software development practices
• Experience using Git-based version control platforms such as GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• Apache Kafka or other event-driven architectures
• OpenShift
• Elasticsearch
