We're looking for a passionate Community Development Manager to grow and strengthen our global immigrant communities while creating an engaging experience that keeps members active and connected.
Role Description
As the Community Development Manager, you will own the strategy, growth, and engagement of GoMigro's global communities. You will work closely with Country Ambassadors, volunteers, partners, and internal teams to build thriving communities where immigrants can connect, learn, support one another, and access opportunities.
You will be responsible for increasing member engagement, launching new communities, organizing online and offline events, developing partnerships, and continuously improving the community experience through member feedback and data-driven insights.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys building communities from the ground up, loves working with people from different cultures, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Growth & Engagement
- Develop and execute community growth strategies across multiple countries/areas.
- Launch and scale new country, city, and interest-based communities.
- Increase member engagement through discussions, polls, challenges, and interactive content.
- Build a welcoming and inclusive environment for members from diverse backgrounds.
- Monitor community health and proactively improve participation and retention.
Community Operations
- Moderate community discussions across GoMigro and external community channels.
- Ensure community guidelines are followed and that a respectful environment is maintained.
- Gather member feedback and convert insights into product and community improvements.
- Create onboarding experiences for new members to improve activation and engagement.

Events & Programs
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person community events.
- Organise webinars, networking sessions, AMAs, workshops, and local meetups.
- Coordinate community campaigns and engagement initiatives across different regions.
Country Ambassador & Volunteer Management
- Recruit, onboard, and support GoMigro Country Ambassadors and community volunteers.
- Conduct regular check-ins and training sessions.
- Help ambassadors grow and engage their local communities.
- Develop playbooks, resources, and best practices for community leaders.
Partnerships & Outreach
- Build relationships with immigrant associations, universities, NGOs, relocation partners, employers, and community organisations.
- Identify collaboration opportunities that create value for GoMigro members.
- Support community-based partnership campaigns and local initiatives.
Community Analytics
- Track key community metrics including:
- Community growth
- Active members
- Engagement rate
- Event participation
- Member retention
- Ambassador performance
- Prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Community Management, Community Development, Customer Success, Growth, Partnerships, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of community building, member engagement, retention, and community growth strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse global audiences.
- Experience managing online communities and facilitating meaningful discussions across digital platforms.
- Experience planning and executing virtual and in-person community events, webinars, workshops, and networking sessions.
- Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, and partnership development skills.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment with a high degree of ownership.
- Proficiency in AI-powered productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Notion AI, Canva AI, or similar tools to create content, automate workflows, analyze community insights, and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience using community platforms such as WhatsApp Communities, Discord, Slack, Circle, Facebook Groups, Telegram, or similar.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track, analyze, and report community metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Airtable, Notion, or spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, AI tools, and digital platforms quickly while continuously improving processes through automation.
