Job Description
Job Title: Social Media Manager — Automotive, Marine & Powersports
Company: Digital Rx
Location: Remote — United States (we hire nationwide)
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: Digital Rx hires nationwide and welcomes candidates from anywhere in the country — but only candidates who physically reside in the United States. Applicants located outside the U.S. will not be considered for this position.
Company Overview:
Digital Rx is a boutique digital consulting agency specializing in innovative, strategic digital marketing solutions for the automotive, marine, and powersports sectors. We help dealers maximize ROI and build impactful digital presences through tailored, brand-compliant strategies. Our team values a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where creativity, data, and a results-driven mindset come together to move the needle for every dealer client.
Position Summary:
As a Social Media Manager for our automotive, marine, and powersports clients, you will craft and execute social media strategy for a portfolio of dealer accounts — building content calendars, running paid social campaigns, and reporting on performance. The work is brand-bound, content inventory- and incentive-aware, seasonal, and must meet each OEM’s brand and compliance requirements. You will partner with our in-house graphic designers for production support while owning strategy, scheduling, paid campaigns, and analytics. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States; you must physically reside in the U.S. to be eligible.

• Dealer Content Strategy & Calendars: Build and manage platform-specific content calendars across a portfolio of automotive, marine, and powersports dealer accounts, aligning each to inventory, incentives, seasonality, and sales/service events.
• Platform Management & Publishing: Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and publishing through Buffer (our social media management platform) across Meta/Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Google Business Profile.
• Post Quality & Engagement Best Practices: Build every post to proven engagement benchmarks — researching and applying trending, relevant hashtags (including hashtag-generator tools), incorporating website deep links, and writing concise, mobile-first copy. Posts should read as authentic, human, and genuinely engaging; generic, obviously AI-written copy is not what we are looking for.
• Paid Social & Audience Targeting: Build and run paid social campaigns — including setting up third-party audience targeting, managing ad budgets, and continuously optimizing — to extend reach and drive measurable results across dealer accounts.
• Reporting & Analytics: Help generate clear, regular performance reports — tracking reach, engagement, and conversions — and translate the data into insights and recommendations for the next cycle.
• OEM & Brand Compliance: Ensure all dealer social assets adhere to brand standards and OEM compliance requirements, submitting assets for compliance review where required before they go live.
• Copy & Creative Coordination: Write engaging, on-brand copy for each dealer’s voice and coordinate with our in-house graphic designers on custom-branded graphics and video, providing clear creative direction.
• Community Management & Engagement: For clients whose service plans include community management, monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in each dealer’s brand voice, fostering engaged communities and routing sales or service inquiries to the right dealer contact.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with account managers, designers, and leadership — coordinating projects and files in Basecamp — to incorporate promotions, seasonal events, and dealer-specific campaigns, and to repurpose blogs, SEO, and other content into social where it adds value.
Qualifications:
• Must physically reside in the United States — Digital Rx hires U.S.-based candidates only, nationwide (non-negotiable).
• 3+ years of experience in social media management, with hands-on paid social experience; agency or multi-account experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to set up third-party audience targeting, manage paid social ad budgets, and optimize campaigns to a goal.

• Ability to help generate and interpret reporting analytics, turning performance data into clear recommendations.
• Experience managing posting and scheduling through Buffer or a comparable social media management platform.
• Automotive, marine, powersports, or broader dealer-vertical experience is a strong plus; familiarity with OEM brand/compliance requirements is a plus.
• Working proficiency with graphic/design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to direct and lightly support creative; our in-house graphic designers handle heavier production.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an adaptable voice across dealer brands.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple dealer calendars and priorities independently in a remote setting.
• A strong instinct for what makes a post perform — trend- and hashtag-aware, mobile-first, with authentic copy that never reads as generic or templated.
• A proactive attitude, creative thinking, and a genuine passion for digital marketing.
Compensation:
$35 – $48 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Reminder: This position is open to U.S. residents only. Digital Rx hires exclusively within the United States, and candidates must physically reside in the U.S.
