Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Brazil)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major DevSecOps transformation initiative within a global technology environment. You will help modernize cloud delivery practices, strengthen security automation, and support the evolution of enterprise-scale engineering platforms. The position focuses on migrating development workflows, improving CI/CD capabilities, and enabling secure cloud solutions across AWS environments. You will collaborate with international teams, influence technical standards, and contribute to strategic modernization projects. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced DevSecOps professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, driving automation, and working with cutting-edge cloud technologies. You will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and efficient delivery processes.

Accountabilities

• Support the migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise, including repositories, pipelines, boards, workflows, and governance practices.
• Design and implement GitHub Actions workflows for build automation, testing, security scanning, packaging, and deployment processes.
• Enable and maintain GitHub Advanced Security capabilities, including CodeQL, secret scanning, dependency review, and vulnerability management.
• Establish and improve CI/CD standards, branching strategies, pull request practices, and secure delivery processes.
• Contribute to AWS cloud modernization initiatives, including containerized workloads using Amazon EKS and serverless solutions based on AWS Lambda.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform infrastructure code for AWS environments, including EKS, Lambda, IAM, networking, and related services.
• Support container engineering practices, including Kubernetes operations, Helm deployments, image security, and container registry lifecycle management.
• Contribute to serverless architectures using AWS services such as API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, and SQS.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver DevSecOps transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud automation, platform engineering, or related technology roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, including repositories, pull requests, branching strategies, and migration projects.
• Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
• Experience implementing security practices within delivery pipelines, including GitHub Advanced Security, vulnerability management, SAST, and dependency scanning.
• Strong experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services including EKS, Lambda, IAM, networking, and ECR.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments, particularly Amazon EKS.
• Previous experience with Azure DevOps as a migration source environment, including pipelines, repositories, and boards.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, automation, compliance, and secure cloud delivery practices.
• Ability to lead technical transformation initiatives and collaborate with distributed international teams.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience with policy-as-code solutions such as Sentinel or OPA, enterprise migration programs, and cloud governance models is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub, or security technologies are highly desirable.
