Job Description
We're hiring a Social Media / Influencer Marketing Manager to own our presence end to end — our channels, our content calendar, and the creators and influencers who can put us in front of new audiences — as we approach public launch.
Summary
- Flexible Title: Can tailor to reflect your skills & experience.
- Flexible Time: Can do full-time, part-time, side-gig (off-hours), or fractional (contract).
- Flexible Commitment: Can do short-term, long-term, or intermittent.
About Us
We're a credible, funded, remote-first startup backed by a growing team. We're pre-launch and moving fast.
About The Role
This is the next step up from a creator seat: instead of making all the content, you own the system — what we post, who posts about us, and whether any of it is working.
Two motions, one seat. Social: channel mix, calendar, community, brand voice. Influencer / creator marketing: find the people whose audience we want, brief them, ship the collaboration, and track whether it moved anything. UGC, nano/micro creators, affiliates, and bigger names are all in play — we care about reach we can actually use, not vanity follows.
This is ideal for someone with 3–5+ years in social, influencer, creator partnerships, or brand content who has already graduated from "I post well" to "I can run a brand's social and a creator program" and wants startup ownership without waiting for a bigger-company title.
You'll answer: Which platforms deserve our time? Which creators are worth the relationship? What's converting vs. just getting likes? Who's posting what this week — us or them?
Compensation
Up to $100,000 max total annual compensation in Tier 1 cities; cash and equity components to be negotiated. Given the flexible commitment model, comp will be structured accordingly — fractional or hourly arrangements welcome.
What You'll Do in Your First 30 Days
- You've audited our channels, voice, and any existing creator relationships and delivered a clear read on what's working
- You've built a prioritized channel mix and content calendar through launch, with owners and posting cadence
- You've identified a first slate of influencers/creators to approach and a simple brief + tracking setup
- You've shipped the first coordinated week of owned content or the first creator collaboration under the new plan
- The team shares one picture of social + influencer priorities and how we'll measure them

- Own the social calendar — plan, schedule, and keep a consistent presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, and wherever we should be
- Run influencer and creator marketing — find, pitch, brief, and manage creators; ship collaborations, UGC, and affiliate-style partnerships
- Set channel and creator strategy — decide where we show up, who we partner with, what formats we double down on, and what we cut
- Brief and coordinate — work with content creators, contractors, influencers, and the GTM team so the feed stays full without you making every asset
- Run community — comments, DMs, and conversations that turn audience into trust
- Own the numbers — track owned social and creator performance; report simply; change the mix based on results
- Protect the voice — keep the brand sounding like us across our posts and other people's
Must-haves
- 3–5+ years in social media, influencer/creator marketing, or brand content — not just posting your own content
- Can build a content calendar and a creator/influencer pipeline from a business goal, and defend the trade-offs
- Understand what performs on each platform and can brief someone else (or a creator) to make it
- Data-literate — you look at the numbers (ours and theirs) and change the plan, not just the caption
- Organized and self-directed — you can own a calendar and a set of creator relationships without daily check-ins

- You've actually run influencer, UGC, or affiliate campaigns (even small) and can say what worked
- An existing rolodex of creators, talent managers, or communities you can tap
- You can still create (on-camera or written) when needed, even if that's not the main job
- Startup or small-team experience where you owned social with limited resources
- Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Not a creator-only seat — you'll own the system (calendar, creator mix, metrics); making every post yourself is not the job
- Not a celebrity-booking agency — we want working creator relationships, not a Super Bowl commercial
- Not a graphic designer — you'll brief visual content, but we're not hiring for brand design
- Not a paid-ads manager — this is organic social + influencer/creator first; paid can come later
