Salary: $90,000 - $150,000 per year /depending on experience/

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Linux and Cisco ASA Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures, with a focus on VPN setup, ASA firewall troubleshooting, Kubernetes networking, and iptables firewall management. This role requires a deep understanding of networking principles, proficiency in Linux systems administration, and expertise in Cisco ASA firewall configuration.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Linux and Cisco ASA technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Linux systems administration, including shell scripting and package management.
• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA firewalls, including ACLs, VPNs, and high availability configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking concepts, such as Service Mesh, Ingress controllers, and network policies.
• In-depth knowledge of iptables firewall configuration and management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage VPN solutions to ensure secure remote connectivity for internal and external stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cisco ASA firewalls, including access control, NAT configurations, and VPN tunnels.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize Kubernetes networking infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Configure and maintain iptables firewall rules to enhance network security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, assisting with complex network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in networking and security technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
