Job Title: Java Mainframe Developer – W2 only – We can provide sponsorship as well.

Location: Westlake, TX/Durham, NC – hybrid – 2 weeks in a month onsite - Local preferred

Modernization effort from Mainframe to cloud

*REQUIRED SKILLS*

Looking for someone who can read Mainframe code who can translate that to solution onto AWS cloud-compatible Java REST API’s

1) 5+ years’ experience developing with Java/Spring Boot

2) Hands-on experience with Kafka

3) Mainframe Development experience

*INTERVIEW PROCESS* 2 rounds, 1 focused on Mainframe and 1 focused on Java/Spring Boot

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience developing multi-tier distributed application and Mainframe experience
• Expert level knowledge of REST API development
• Demonstrated expertise MQ /Kafka technology to develop and support data ingestion services
• Experience in developing applications that use multi-threaded processing.
• Familiarity using financial messaging protocols like FIX.
• Familiarity with GIT workflow for code check-ins and review
• /deployment tools and techniques like Jenkins, TerraCore, Concourse, Docker etc.
• You have good knowledge of mainframe legacy systems and technology, particularly MQ messaging, CICS, Cobol, VSAM and DB2 databases.
• Knowledge of migrating mainframe applications to the cloud based distributed systems
• Strong software experience in developing and a proven track record of delivering full-stack cloud-based applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in various relational and non-relational database technologies (ideally Oracle/Redis/Aerospike/DynamoDB)
• Experience in UI Development with technologies like Angular, React and others is a big plus.
• You are comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• You have a passion for clean, maintainable code and are always looking to improve your engineering skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Learning and adapting new concepts & technologies quickly and implementing them successfully.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a modular and scalable platform.
• You build positive relationships with team members and have excellent verbal and written communication.
• Good communication skills, problem solving skills, and a highly professional attitude are essential for this role.
