Arctic Grey is an 11-year-old engineering powerhouse with a 60-person team of data scientists, software engineers, designers, and UX specialists. We’ve spent the past decade building sophisticated data infrastructure, custom integrations, and high-conversion Shopify experiences for ambitious merchants, driving billions in revenue along the way.
In 2026, we’re launching a Shopify-exclusive Remarketing Service, a single, high-impact package that delivers 1,000 data-driven ads across Meta, Google, AdRoll (including CTV), and Klaviyo Email/SMS. We are not a traditional marketing agency. We are technical experts applying engineering rigor, AI, and full-funnel control to remarketing, eliminating silos and delivering measurable ROAS for scaled Shopify brands.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and lead a new high-margin department inside a profitable, established company with existing merchant relationships, engineering resources, and design support.
The Role
As our founding Vice President of Marketing, you will own the strategy, execution, and scaling of our Remarketing Service from day one. You’ll wear multiple hats initially, building playbooks, managing ad buying, overseeing creative production, delivering beautiful client reports, and driving client results, while leveraging our existing teams for landing pages, pixels, flows, and data optimization.
This is an entrepreneurial role perfect for someone who has built or scaled performance marketing inside a Shopify-focused agency or brand and wants to do it again with unlimited upside.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the full go-to-market strategy for our $90K/6-month Remarketing Package
- Own media buying, creative testing, and optimization across Meta, Google Ads, AdRoll, and Klaviyo
- Build scalable processes, playbooks, and reporting standards
- Collaborate with our engineering, design, and data teams to deliver integrated campaigns
- Manage weekly client syncs and ensure consistent ROAS wins
- Hire and lead future specialists as we scale to dozens and eventually hundreds of clients
- Drive internal sales through our Success Managers and leverage existing merchant trust
Who You Are
- Proven track record scaling paid social, Google, and remarketing channels for Shopify/DTC brands (3–10x ROAS experience required)
- Deep hands-on expertise with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, AdRoll, and Klaviyo
- Experience building marketing teams and processes from scratch in an agency or brand environment
- Data-driven operator who loves creative testing, AI tools, and full-funnel optimization
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable being the first marketing hire and building something big
- Shopify ecosystem knowledge is required
Compensation & Career Progression
We are posting this role at the VP level to attract the best talent. Top performers will rapidly progress through a transparent, revenue-driven roadmap with meaningful base increases plus uncapped commissions.
The career progression and compensation structure is designed to reward performance with clear milestones tied to the number of active clients managed. Commissions are uncapped and calculated based on revenue generated from active clients.
- Senior Marketing Manager: $120,000 base salary. With 10 active clients, example monthly commissions of $2,500 ($30,000 annually), for a total potential annual compensation of $150,000.
- Director of Marketing: $140,000 base salary. With 15 active clients, example monthly commissions of $3,750 ($45,000 annually), for a total potential annual compensation of $185,000.
- VP of Marketing: $160,000 base salary. With 20 active clients, example monthly commissions of $5,000 ($60,000 annually), for a total potential annual compensation of $220,000.
- Senior VP of Marketing: $180,000 base salary. With 30 active clients, example monthly commissions of $7,500 ($90,000 annually), for a total potential annual compensation of $270,000.
- Chief Marketing Officer: $220,000 base salary. With 50 active clients, example monthly commissions of $12,500 ($150,000 annually), for a total potential annual compensation of $370,000+.
These figures are illustrative examples based on active client count; actual commissions are uncapped and driven directly by revenue performance.
Realistic Year 1 total comp: $200K–$300K+ for strong performers.
