About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Engineer to join our Data Strategy and Intelligence practice on a 3-month remote engagement. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable analytical data models and data pipelines that support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Your expertise will help turn complex data into actionable insights, enabling our clients to make data-driven decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, pipeline development, and collaborative problem-solving within an agile environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work remotely from anywhere while contributing to impactful projects that shape data strategies for diverse organizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in analytical data modeling using SQL and data modeling best practices
- Experience in building and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines, preferably with tools like dbt
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to data issues
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to sprint goals
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst are preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and maintain scalable analytical data models independently, ensuring alignment with business needs
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot data pipelines, including conducting UAT for code releases
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Resolve data-related issues promptly by diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Assist in designing and implementing dashboards that provide actionable insights, ensuring optimal performance
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet strategic objectives
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Translate complex business requirements into efficient data models and queries
