Founding iOS Developer


Location: Remote (SF or NY Preferred)

This is an early, high-impact role at a company where product quality, design sensibility, and user experience matter deeply.


Role Description

As crtd’s Founding iOS Developer, you’ll own the iOS app end-to-end and play a critical role in shaping the core user experience of the product. This is a true 0→1 role: you’ll design, build, ship, and iterate on the iOS application from the ground up, with a strong emphasis on polish, usability, and emotional resonance. You’ll work closely with the founder to translate product vision into a beautifully crafted consumer experience. High ownership, high autonomy, and direct influence on the company’s direction.


Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship iOS applications from start to finish, owning architecture, implementation, and iteration
  • Translate product ideas into intuitive, elegant, and high-quality consumer experiences
  • Maintain a strong bar for craft, performance, and design detail across the iOS app
  • Continuously improve the app experience through experimentation, feedback, and iteration
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to shape product direction and roadmap
  • Ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability as the product grows


Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience building iOS applications end-to-end (0→1 experience required)
  • Experience in consumer products and user-centric design
  • Track record of shipping consumer iOS apps with a high bar for visual quality, usability, and interaction precision
  • Experience working in early-stage environments with ambiguity and ownership
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an early/founding engineer or first iOS hire at a startup
  • Strong intuition for UX/UI beyond pure engineering execution
  • Background working on consumer products that leverage AI or intelligent systems to enhance user experience.
  • Proven experience launching and maintaining consumer mobile apps with measurable user adoption.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Equity in early stage startup
  • Fully remote
