About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, client-focused Marketing Account Manager who takes full ownership of client relationships and project execution. This role is ideal for someone who anticipates needs, communicates with confidence and empathy, and acts as a trusted strategic partner to clients.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional service, clear communication, and seamless coordination across internal teams. Success in this role means clients feel supported, informed, and confident that their marketing initiatives are being handled with care, accuracy, and strategic intent.


Key Responsibilities

Proactive Ownership & Leadership

  • Take full ownership of assigned client accounts, anticipating challenges and proactively driving solutions.
  • Lead clients and internal teams toward successful outcomes without waiting for direction.
  • Bring curiosity, research, and critical thinking to continuously improve processes and results.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Communicate with clarity, empathy, and professionalism to ensure clients feel supported at every stage.
  • Lead client meetings, gather requirements, and translate business needs into clear, actionable tasks.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, industry, and goals to guide strategic decisions.

Project & Team Coordination

  • Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate across SEO, paid media, content, design, and development teams.
  • Manage timelines, milestones, and task assignments using Asana or similar project management tools.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, or delays early and propose proactive solutions.

Reporting & Strategic Insights

  • Deliver accurate monthly performance reports and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Review deliverables to ensure alignment with strategy, accuracy, and client expectations.
  • Lead strategic discussions and quarterly reviews with confidence and calm leadership.

Strategic & Technical Understanding

  • Maintain a working knowledge of SEO best practices, paid media, content strategy, and digital marketing fundamentals.
  • Explain digital marketing concepts clearly and simply to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Use familiarity with WordPress to assist with basic content updates or coordinate effectively with development teams.

Quality & Accountability

  • Demonstrate strong ownership, attention to detail, and pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • Contribute to account retention, client satisfaction, and long-term success.
  • Model company values and a solutions-oriented mindset in all interactions.


Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in digital marketing, account management, or client services (agency experience preferred).
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven work style with a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to build trust through reliability, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, paid advertising, and digital performance metrics.
  • Ability to explain complex digital concepts in simple, client-friendly language.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience with Google Workspace and HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
  • Comfort working remotely with strong digital communication habits.


Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Experience using Asana or other project management tools.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and basic website content workflows.
  • Prior experience in a digital marketing agency.
  • Understanding of website builds, UX principles, and digital marketing best practices.
